Founded in 1965, Kiremko harnesses extensive experience in every form and shape of potato processing. Our processing lines and individual machines are specifically designed to make the most of your product and prevent waste in terms of energy and resources.
We see that food is unequally shared throughout the world. We also see the amount of waste generated in potato processing. We see this both in the process of designing and building the machines as the actual processing of potatoes. This creates an unnecessarily high footprint and limits people’s access to basic human needs.
We believe a better future is possible.
That’s why we work to get the most out of every potato that finds its way into our machines. We want to eliminate waste so we can enjoy living and working, today and tomorrow.
Our history
Kiremko was founded in 1965 with a simple idea in mind: what if you could process potatoes in the thousands, instead of one by one? The very first product lines made by Kiremko could produce 500 kilos of French fries per hour. An unimaginable amount for the time.
Growth came from the vision to get the most out of every potato, worldwide. What started in the Netherlands soon spread to Denmark, China, Japan, Egypt, Greece, the United States and many more.
The long-standing partnership between Kiremko, Idaho Steel and Recyo Systems was instrumental in this expansion and will continue to be in the years to come.

Kiremko’s Fair Future goals
We believe Kiremko’s stable future depends on motivated employees, a healthy planet and a method of potato processing that eliminates waste at every step.
To that end, we’ve committed ourselves to seven United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Responsible production
Kiremko produces in a responsible manner and invests in sustainable industry with all chain partners, looking at its own production process and responsible production for its customers.
Consumers find it increasingly important that the products they buy are produced in a responsible manner. By using scarce raw materials and water carefully, by reusing residual materials as effectively as possible and with as little CO₂ emissions as possible.
Kiremko pays attention to this in its own production process, as well as in the production processes of the machine lines they make.

Climate action
Actively reducing greenhouse gas emissions, by both saving on energy consumption and using energy resources efficiently.
Saving energy is about saving energy, as well as the sources of energy supply. At the end of 2016, Kiremko moved to a new, sustainable building. The new building was an excellent opportunity to apply many smart energy solutions. Our starting point: making optimum use of the natural circumstances present in the building.
The design and construction of Kiremko’s new premises are the main contributors to the energy-saving measures. By making maximum use of sun, heat, light and air, Kiremko’s CO₂ emissions decreased by 40% between 2016 and 2019 while the floor space has almost doubled.

Employee and society
Kiremko stands for committed employees and contributes to local society by investing in sports, youth & education to broadly share the passion for technology.
Kiremko is a committed company at the heart of the local community. As a global market leader, investing in the region or the Netherlands does not seem obvious. There is hardly any customer to be found in the wider area. Nevertheless, Kiremko considers the local environment important, because the environment allows the company to do its job.
So Kiremko in turn supports the environment. They do this, among other things, by investing in sports, youth & education. But also with an active policy of supporting and encouraging employees. And by offering training opportunities and access to the labour market for groups who have less access to it independently.
