During this hands-on experience day, students were introduced to the world of the potato processing industry. They explored the complete journey from potato to fries and gained insight into the technology and processes behind modern production lines. Nick Vreeman supervised and supported the potato-to-fries process, guiding students step by step through the different stages.
In addition, the students participated in a practical welding workshop, where they learned the basics of the craft in a safe and controlled environment. All activities took place under the close supervision of our experienced colleagues, with safety as the highest priority throughout the day.
By organising initiatives such as the ‘Doe Dag’, we aim to inspire young people to consider a future in engineering and strengthen the connection between education and industry. Investing in young talent today means building the professionals of tomorrow.
